This is me and my best buddy, Finn, on our hike of the Skerwink Trail in Port Rexton, Newfoundland. Look it up - it's awesome!

Hi there! I'm Erin.  When we pursue the things we love, somehow what we love will provide meaning and purpose to the world around us. I love being outside, exploring the world, and connecting with people. I first learned about breakwaters when I visited Newfoundland in 2019. A breakwater is a structure in the ocean that lessens the effects of the weather and reduces the intensity of the waves.

Breakwater Wellness was born out of my goal to teach skills that help students feel confident and empowered to reduce the intensity and effects of unexpected and emergency situations. I have taught CPR and first aid for over 20 years to hundreds of clients. I am able to tailor each class to the needs of the organization, business or group to enable participants get the maximum benefit from the class.

Teaching skills like CPR, first aid, babysitting safety, and outdoor survival helps participants feel more control over life's inevitable curve balls. My classes are qualify for job required CPR classes but are helpful to anyone wanting to feel more in control of unexpected situations. The world can be overwhelming and social emotional wellness is built by skills like these. I love teaching individuals to be strong in the face of adversity.

I have been a licensed health teacher for 19 years. In addition, I am currently certified in the following:

  • American Red Cross Instructor

  • Amercian Safety and Health Institute Instructor

  • NH Fish and Game Hunter Safety Instructor

  • NAMI Suicide Prevention Training Instructor

  • Community Emergency Response Team

  • Certified Health Education Specialist

  • 2023 NH State Teacher of the Year nominee
